This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students that are in my class are scholars that are ready and willing to learn in all ways. They are hungry to learn more and more every day. During our knowledge block the scholars in my class are always ready to listen and answer any questions the we have. They have such an vivid imagination that I love because it gives them the opportunity to creat discussion with each other. I have a few kids in the class that’s reading at the top of the class. The scholars in my class all come from low-income families. My class consists of a bright and colorful group of kids that's hungry for learning.
My Project
Before my student leave Kindergarten I want them to be fluent enough to be able to pick up where they stop and transition into reading in first grade and grades in the future with little to no problems at all.
When you are able to read and do math fluently you are able to comprehend from what you have read in both subjects,
We will be working with number bonds and groups of five and ten and the rekenrek will allow my scholars to be able to learn how to break five and ten down.
