Welcome to my amazing classroom, located in the inner city of Buffalo.
We are part of Buffalo Public Schools and our school has a large percentage of students from low-income homes. We have the second-largest percentage of English as a new language learner in the district. As their teacher, I need to go above and beyond to give all my students hands-on, engaging, exciting resources so they can academically strive!

My Project
In our school, I wear many hats and one of the daily hats is being the gym teacher. My kiddos do not have access to a gym, so I do what I can to build a physical education curriculum through a variety of games and activities that help our students develop motor skills such as throwing, catching, locomotion skills and participation in physical education lessons.
With new number tactile rocks we cannot only promote exercise and enhance our students' gross motor skills, but we will be able to meet the physical education standard guidelines that the state requires of us!
If this project gets funded, I will be able to give my students new opportunities to explore various types of motor skills through these new pieces gross motor equipment--making our gym time highly engaging and fun!
