I have 20 amazing students who deserve a classroom full of new materials and flexible learning spaces. Each year I have 20 new students from around the local area who come into my classroom. I am their first experience to education and I would love for my classroom to be the best it can be. I view and love my students as my own; I believe that our classroom is a family here to support and encourage each other. I am proud to be a part of this dynamic family.
My Project
I would like to have more flexible seating options in my classroom from Lakeshore Learning. I feel like reading seats, soft seats, and beanbag chairs would benefit my classroom immensely. Research shows that younger students burn calories, focus better, and choose to read more when they have more options for seating. I would like to have my students have access to more options on where to sit, which is why I chose 6 soft seats for reading corners and our classroom library area, as well as two beanbag chairs I want to add furniture in the room for more learning areas to be possible, such as a a reading corner, and a relaxation/calm down area I also would like a more inviting reading area where I can use the tumbling mat as comfortble are for students to learn and also be safety active in the space. I also added wireless headphones to make our computer time easier with less cords, a better fir for their small heads for students to be able to work on their online educational program Each item will help our classroom become a more comfortable and engaging place to learn.
