Making Music

Help me give my students mallets, picture books about musical topics, dry erase pockets and erasers, and manuscript paper with flair pens.

My Project

The Covid-19 virus has really impacted our students. Students are struggling both academically and socially. These resources would help my students work collaboratively and provide opportunities to problem-solve.

My students struggle to work together, overcome obstacles, and stay engaged in learning when it becomes difficult.

The picture books would provide a foundation and "hook" to engage students with meaningful discussions about musical content.

Other resources would be used in music centers, which provide opportunities for students to work at their own pace, collaborate with others, and problem solve. Students will continue to build on their skills of teamwork, socialization, and musicianship.
