Help me give my students this CD player which will allow each Chorus class to rehearse their music with accompaniment each and every day of rehearsal! The folders are for music storage.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach Chorus and Theatre Arts in a middle school in rural county in North Carolina. My 7th and 8th-grade students are very bright and eager to learn and perform in the arts.
My goal is to inspire my students to be immersed in a world of music and theatre that they may not otherwise have a chance to experience.
In my Chorus classes, we focus on learning proper warm-up exercises (including the use of sight-singing and rhythm practice) and we learn vocal technique using a variety of repertoire. We strive to learn songs from many cultures and languages to enhance our knowledge and connect us to a global community.
In Theatre Arts we engage in many activities and units including theatre history (Greek and Roman theatre through contemporary plays of today), mask making, the basics of the theater space, theatre etiquette and stage directions, the works of Shakespeare, film, etc). Students practice scene work, basic character analysis, and ensemble building exercises.
In my Chorus classes, my students begin work on repertoire by focusing on their particular part. Once each section learns their part, we add the accompaniment- the orchestration. Using accompaniment CDs allow each singer to sound and feel like a rock star! We will use our new CD player in Chorus class each and every day. This device will allow my singers to grow as musicians and performers. In addition, we love to take our music with us when we perform for other classes in school and around the community. Having this portable CD player will make all the difference for each of my classes. The folders will hold each individual student's music. These are essential supplies for daily class.
