Help me give my students music instruments to encourage a well-rounded education. Our school currently does not have a music program, however I am very passionate about performing arts education, and would like to develop a program.
I'm excited to create more opportunities for my amazing students!
My class has 18 wonderful 3rd graders from a variety of culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
Our school focuses on being hands-on and offering expeditions outside the classroom for the students to engage in. My students are kind, compassionate, and are always looking out for each other. In all the years that I have been teaching, I have never had a class that is so connected and close with each other. They hold a very special place in my heart.
My Project
I plan to use the music instruments to help guide daily class instruction. The addition of instruments during read-aloud, social studies and for general music education will help students connect with each other. Children are incredibly social, and this will allow students to positively interact and learn from each other. Music education will drive creativity, help students cope and work through their emotions, and create meaningful connections to their daily academics. Music will also help develop listening skills, the ability to follow patterns, and encourage literacy skills through story-telling. Please support the music program I am developing in our community.
