Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wonderful, curious 3 and 4 years old preschoolers who have significant physical, visual and communication challenges.
Despite theses challenges they are eager and happy to participate in daily activities.
My children learn through multi sensory approach; seeing, hearing, and touch.
Our school district and families are facing significant financial hardships during these unprecedented times.
My students need additional resources that are specific to their needs so they are able to access their environment.
My Project
My students love music and singing. When I use puppets and songs books, at school, they are so engaged. They can feel and hold the puppets while singing.
Help me support my students and families with virtual learning become more engaged with my lessons through the help of puppets.
Each student will receive puppet packs, stored in zip lock bags, to use at home. Using the animal puppets they can make choices while singing Old MacDonald. Their understanding of number sense increases while using the Five Green Speckled Frogs and Five Little Duck puppets. My students literacy skills are supported using the puppets song books.
