My students need a whiteboard with markers, storage bins, highlighters, paper, and other general supplies to make my classroom one focused on hands-on learning and original creations!
Powerful, passionate, full of hope and promise, that is what living in an urban community is like to my students. Thoughts of hunger. fear and lack of options are not tolerated in my classroom. With 1,600 students in all, our Title I student body has an extended school day as well as a extended school year. The many students in my school may come from humble means, but still have the hope we all do: to go to college and have a rich and full life.
My Project
I am hoping some great donors will come forward and help be assist my students with supplies to make my classroom one that go to the next level.
From highlighters, to markers, white boards and maps, these hands-on learning tools give my kids (all 125) the ability to really make meaningful projects that will inspire each other (and me too).
My students have two courses, World History and Introduction to Business. My History students travel through time from the big bang through what possibilities exists for tomorrow. In Business the students learn how contracts, companies, employers and employers make the world function. Both courses offer project based learning that focuses on rigor, writing and creativity.
It is my hope that these vital tools get into my students hands quickly! Thank you so very much for your help in creating my students' work space!
