My third graders love honoring their parents and especially their moms. They take so much pride in their handmade creations and are honored to present these gifts to others.
Mother's Day is a special day for students to honor moms and other female relatives who care for them.
Let's make it special for all! My students are the face of the United States of America. Some were born in this country to English speaking parents. Some were born in the United States to Spanish or Vietnamese speaking parents. Others were born in another country and immigrated to the United States. One thing that all of my students have in common is their zest for learning. They are so wonderful in that they don't see the differences between each other.
My students need supplies to create one of a kind Mother's Day gifts. They will use the glass bottles and acrylic paint to create poured paint vases. The bottles will be placed upside down and paint will be dripped down the sides creating unique vases for Mom. They will use the tissue paper and pipe cleaners to create tissue flowers for the vases. Then, they will wrap their gifts up in these colorful gift bags. This will be my fourth year making these wonderful gifts. Each year the students amaze me with their creative sides. These bottles will surprise Mom or Grandma on her special day.
