Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year I have yet to meet the students, but I know that I will be making memories with them the minute they walk into my classroom. My students are my kids...this is more so than other teachers at times. This years students are the same age as my own. So I am teaching my child's best friends. I have known some of these kids for years.
These students deserve the best and I hope to give them all that I can to help them achieve their dreams.
My students come from diverse cultures and homes. I hope to give them all the chance to make memories that will last a lifetime.
My Project
Everyone remembers being in school and dissection time in science. We all talk about it as we get older and compare notes. Well, the science teachers talk about it with wonder while others in disgust. I remember dissecting a cat, pig, frog and a squid. I know I was one of few that got the see that many. I hope to bring to my students the chance to just dissect 2 species- the frog and the squid. Students will work in groups of 4 per specimen.
Please help my students make those memories in science that will last a lifetime.
It is always important to see the comparison between other species and the human body.
