My Project

It has been a long standing tradition to have an alphabet countdown in Kindergarten to help prepare the students for their transition to summer and to 1st grade. For the last 26 days of school we will be having a themed day that goes along with the alphabet letter of that day. From animal day to neon day, we will have something specific for each of the 26 last days of school.

Kindergarten is all about making lasting memories.

I want to be able to provide a memorable way to end the school year for my students with supplying them with all the things needed to celebrate all the growing we have done over the last year.

Many of the days will be centered around themed snacks, like "candy" and "fruit pouches". Thanks to one project that has already been funded, we are stocked with many of those snacks! Supplies like bubbles, black lights (for "glow day"), pirate supplies and rainbow curtains are the missing pieces to help create some life long memories for my students. Creating those moments really helps show my students that school can be a lot of fun while we are learning.

One really important piece are labels. These will be used to send reminders home for each day for each of my students about what will be needed for the next themed day. The labels make it quick and easy to add into a students agenda or even as a sticker on their shirts.
