My Students

I have the opportunity to interact with 52 wonderful and amazing third graders each and every day!! I feel very blessed to be their math and science teacher. My students are full of life, energy, and have an eagerness to learn new things.

Third grade can be challenging, but I love watching them bloom into little mathematicians and scientists.

Our school is a Title 1 school that is located in a small, rural town in the south. Many students do not have access to technology outside of school. This can be challenging when it comes time to take computer based, standardized testing because of their lack of computer literacy. Many common core standards are based on technology and my students need to improve their technology ability in order to keep up with the evolving world around them. Having computers in the classroom will put my students in a position to succeed with the curriculum, state tests, and life in general.

My Project

I teach extremely bright children who are hardworking and dedicated to learning. However, because my students live in the deep south, several of them do not get the opportunities to explore some of the sights and/or learning adventures that bigger towns/cities have to offer. Therefore, it is my job as their teacher to bring the bigger and better opportunities that the technology world has to offer to them!!!!

These new chromebooks would be the essential tool that would allow me just that opportunity to enhance their learning environment as well as, help my wonderful 3rd grade students reach their full academic potential.
