My Students

I am so excited to be working with my diverse group of learners this year in the area of mathematics. My students are hard-working second and third graders who get excited about learning.

My students have all been diagnosed with a learning disability.

This means they may learn in a different way or need a little extra support. It doesn't mean can't. My students are capable of amazing things.

I am excited to see what my students can accomplish this year.

My Project

I would love to create a "math board" where students can work on review skills and number sense on a daily basis. I have seen this daily work have great success in the past, but do not have the supplies needed in my new room.

Mathematical thinking is so important!

Students will develop a greater understanding of number sense through daily work at math board. They will work through a base-ten center, a tens frame block, add on to a hundreds chart to name a few. They will also review and preview important life skills such as money and time.
