Making Math, STEAM, and Language Fun in Kindergarten!
Help me give my students meaningful experiences with hands-on learning materials. Incorporating storytelling with STEAM activities, like the Gingerbread Man Problem Solving STEM kit, my students will be able to apply practical skills to a beloved story!
Each day, I greet 18 excited, energetic, and eager Kindergartners into my classroom. These young scholars are curious learners who enjoy discovering new ideas in their world. They want to explore, ask questions and test theories through play and structured learning times. Each child begins their academic journey with ideas and foundations that must be challenged and expanded through story telling and story writing.
Together we learn to read, make inferences and strengthen comprehension skills!
My little learners are engaged and excited to use colorful centers that enhance their experience!
We continue our learning experience with math and science investigations. Using hands-on manipulatives and cooperative learning, students are able to discover and question the world around them.
My Project
Kindergarten students need hands-on tools to make learning engaging and exciting. By using the counting to 20 caterpillar apples and number rockets, students will be engaged and delighted to make the concrete connection between the symbolic number and quantity that matches.
Additionally, we hope to receive language activities such as the Beginning Sounds Phonemic Awareness Box.
My students need practice identifying beginning sounds in order to ensure a solid start with literacy skills. By using the Learning Letters Activity Leaves, students will be able to identify and use both upper and lowercase letters. Kindergarten students excel when given experiences that are both exciting and engaging! Thank you so much for considering our project!
