My Students
Life happens everyday. Life does not slow down because we are having a bad day. Life presses us to move forward. Life presents us with opportunities to advance, growth, and consistently become better versions of ourselves.
My students are LIFE.
They do not slow down. They consistently press forward. They identify and utilize EVERY opportunity to advance, grow, and consistently become better versions of themselves. Everyone that enters our room understands that it takes every one of us EVERYDAY to make every gain and success possible and plausible. Together we don't just live life...we are LIFE.
My Project
You've never seen a Math Night like this one. My students will be in charge of creating, promoting, and running a reoccurring Math Night. Probability knowledge will be activated and enhanced with Rationalizing Roulette. Fractions and decimals will come to life with the over-sized dominoes and connect-4. Number sense will finally make sense through the use of over-sized uno and playing cards. Strategic methods will be modeled through the use of tic-tac-toe and Twister.
Math Night will become Math Life.
Our scholars will see their parents, families, and peers loving and interacting with Math organically and with games they are knowledgeable about. They will see Math Love lives within us all despite prior difficulties or histories. We love Math and Math loves us!
