Help me give my students math manipulatives! Area tiles, multiplication and division kits, regrouping and place-value kits, and hands on angles and measurement sets.
My students struggle with social, emotional and family issues. They struggle with having enough to eat, needing resources, and crave love and attention.
My school is very old and while we try our best to keep it clean and update it, it’s not easy.
My students are sweet, loving, happy and beautiful. They deserve to have every opportunity afforded to other students around the country. They want to be able to play in the snow, and sleigh ride! I want to provide them with these basic things but my resources are limited.
My Project
Mathematics can be a hard concept to grasp in intermediate grades especially in 4th. These hands-on supplies would help me immensely to aid my students in understanding easier by giving them concrete items to work with. When they master the concrete way, I can use the other items in this wish list to help them take their learning to a more abstract understanding, furthering their knowledge by using the wipe and write boards to create pictures that represent their problems. These resources would allow me to create real-world, hands-on, engaging learning activities and increase learning outcomes! Please consider donating to help my class reach their goals!
