Making Math More Accessible and Fun

Help me give my students headphones to complete math iPad work and math fun!

My Project

I am looking for headphones for my classroom as we are required to complete 10-15 minutes of math iPad work daily. This work gets really challenging when there are several students who do not have headphones and yet need to hear to complete the task. Students are constantly getting distracted and the time on task is not great. Headphones will make it so they can stay focused on their own task at hand and complete more quality minutes of work.

The magnetic number bond and spinning wheel will make our math block more engaging each day!

The number bond will help increase numeracy. We will play with different equations turning them into both addition and subtraction problems based on the number bond. The size of the number bond will be great to display and discuss daily to kick off our math block!

The spinning wheel will be used as incentives during various parts of the day, but especially math centers. I will write down rewards for the students as they complete their centers and we will spin the wheel to discover what we’ve earned. This will highly motivate my students. I will also use this at times to decide what special bonus math center we earn after having great days of math center work!
