My Project

Many kids struggle with math, but with the restraints and pressures put on our poor kids due to COVID-19, even more kids are struggling with math than ever before. I know with the right collaborative and interactive learning environment, I can bring math back to life! Our kids are our future and we need to help take off some of the undue burdens put on them due to COVID-19, especially in school.

I want to give my students a safe risk free classroom with the tools to enhance their learning, where I can make math memorable.

In turn this will allow them to succeed in higher level math and life all around. Sixth grade math is really one of the foundations for high school math, so it is critical that our kids make connections and see math as a positive subject that has multiple avenues for a correct answer.

I have asked for a variety of supplies that will help aide my students become better collaborative mathematicians, such as four quadrant white boards, white board markers (which we use daily), Maga-Tiles (for surface area and geometry), sticky chart paper (for station problem solving), new calculators for statistics, and more. Thank you in advance for helping me help our kids love math again and put their struggles and fears behind them.
