I have been blessed to teach twenty-five highly motivated learners. The students in my classroom come from varied socio-economic backgrounds. They have a love for learning and are determined to make a difference in society as they become productive citizens. It is the interest in technology that inspires the enthusiasm they have for learning. Unfortunately, many students only experience learning with technology while at school. As a result, when my students have the opportunity to use Chromebooks, they are eager to participate and explore educational programs.
My students are inquisitive, creative, and eager to use Chromebooks to connect with other critical thinkers.
My Project
My students will use Chromebooks during literacy and math centers. Students will use a multitude of programs including: IXL, Study Island, Flipgrid, MyOn, Prodigy, and Read Theory. Students will create videos, presentations, and participate in virtual field trips. Students will have the opportunity to explore educational programs to increase student engagement and academic achievement.
Opening the door to the technological world will help students gain confidence, boost student achievement, and advance 21st Century skills.
Adding Chromebooks to my classroom will also help differentiate instruction as I target learning needs of my students. As students progress academically, they will have the opportunity to explore various programs of interest. I am confident that this resource will provide my students with endless learning opportunities.
