My students need math manipulatives and STEM activities! We need to put our little hands on the shapes we are exploring and learn through experimenting!
Amazing, wonderful, creative, athletic, innovative, and curious are just a few words that can be used to describe the energetic bunch of 5 and 6-year-olds who enter my classroom every morning. They come from varying home lives but once they walk into the classroom they are one big, happy family.
These phenomenal students need your help to level the playing field and give them a fair opportunity to succeed.
The school can provide their meals and help parents with after school care but we need additional support to give these kids access to the technology and educational materials that their peers are already using.
These kids want to learn. They want to be successful. They want to make us all proud. Please help them meet their dreams and rise above even our greatest expectations!
My Project
The math based materials I am requesting will be put to use on a daily basis to help them better understand some very abstract concepts such. 3D shapes, spinners for math games, STEM activity kits, and counting cubes will all aide in my students gaining a love for learning!
Manipulatives have the ability to aid directly in the cognitive process and the additional advantage of engaging students and increasing both interest in and enjoyment of mathematics.
My Kindergarten students are 5 and 6-years-old. They learn best when they are able to touch, explore, and experiment. Help instill in them a love of learning and open their eyes to the wonders of mathematics!
