My Students

I teach 5 classes of middle class 8th graders math everyday. These students come from all walks of life.

Our community is a military community which makes our student body fluctuate from year to year.

Students move in and out all the time.

My Project

What is your first thought when you hear the word "math?" For most of my students, they dread coming to math class because they don't feel confident in math. I strive to make my classroom a place to encourage all my students to learn math and not to dread it.

I love to use interactive notebooks as well as hands-on materials to make math fun for my students.

I feel as if they are actively engaged during math class, they will not only enjoy learning, but will start feeling more confident in math.
