Every morning my students arrive at school, ready to learn despite what goes on at home. They are required to read at levels that they have yet to reach due to their learning disability.
Living in a city plagued by poverty and violence, they aspire to do great and be positive despite their surroundings.
They use their counting and math skills to develop a thirst and love for math. This helps them create avenues and positive outlooks to help them achieve and do great things.
Making sure students are confident is an essential component in motivating them to do math. I've noticed significant differences in my students when they are completing math assignments using math activity games. They become confident about completing math, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are completing math assignments.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice to complete assignments when using math activity games.
The product that I have selected will help my students by giving them confidence, motivation and additional skills to create more effective learning in math. The grade level math activity games are engaging and keep the students on task. This will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to gain confidence in math.
