Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a diverse area, and my hard-working students come to school every day ready to learn. I love my students! They are hard-working, eager learners. They come from diverse backgrounds including various ethnicities and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. I use whole-brain teaching strategies in my classroom, so my students are constantly engaged in learning and sharing ideas with each other. I want my students to have all of the essentials they need to be able to love life every day.
My Project
Math is a hard subject for a lot of my students. I want to make our math time more engaging with these items. I am asking for a variety of dice so all of my students can have their own set when needed. Also I am asking for plastic holders to help organize all of the different sets of math cards we use. I am also hoping to encourage students to show their math work and try their best with math concepts using many different kinds of school tools: erasers, highlighters, pencils, pens, and pencil sharpeners. I am hoping with this project, my students will have access to more materials to help them with math.
