The familiar saying is that practice makes perfect. But, asking a child to complete pages and pages of practice drill sheets is boring and repetitive. Children learn by doing. When children are engaged in math games, they practice math skills, problem solve, and have fun!
I teach 2nd grade in a inner-city, Title 1, charter school.
My classroom is inclusive with a high population of ESOL students as well as students with special needs. Our mission is to develop well educated, community-minded children by providing high-quality, community-based education that capitalizes on the diversity of nearby neighborhoods.
Math games reinforce math concepts and make math fun. They give students the chance to practice the skills they've learned in class. These games will reinforce number sense, measurement, geometry, and many other second grade Common Core standards. My students will be able to practice their skills while having fun. These games will enhance their learning, provided necessary practice, and show students that math can be fun. These games will make math exciting! Please, help my students get math games to reinforce the skills they've learned in class including Math Skills Folder Game Libraries and Elementary Math Instant Learning Centers.
With your help, my students will be able to practice their math skills while having fun.
