Help me give my students the materials that they need to be successful in Math, whether it be learning how to add, subtract, tell time, or count money.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and several are English Language Learners. Their reading levels vary and they need extra help to be successful in and outside the school setting.
My students are very eager to learn and try very hard.
Some do not have the support from home as our other students have. Their parents do the best they can, but it is difficult to provide the help that they need because of their limited English and reading skills.
My Project
These Math materials will help my students learn the skills that are necessary to be successful in Math. In 1st grade, they will be learning how to add, subtract, tell time, and count money. Each of these materials will help them as they are learning and reviewing these skills.
These materials will give my students hands-on practice as they are learning new concepts in Math.
The individual clocks will help them practice telling time. The magnetic numbers will help them practice and learn their number facts as they are memorizing their addition and subtraction facts. The Math Journals will help us practice our Math Facts and review what they have learned daily. The coins will help them as we are learning to count money. These are all skills needed to be successful in school and carry out to the real world as they get older.
I want my students to be successful not only in Reading, but in Math also. These materials will help me to be able to teach more effectively and for my students be more successful.
