Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students rotate through several math stations each day and are starting to see some real improvement. Because they can do hands-on activities, they are excited for our math lesson every morning.
At my school, most of the students are minorities and qualify for free and reduced lunches.
They do not have a lot of support outside of school so anytime we can do impactful math activities in class, we make the most out of it. They kids are hungry to learn and to succeed. With your help, they can make amazing growth this year!
My Project
With the materials we are asking for, we will be able to add more hands-on activities to our rotations. The students always want to use manipulatives and create math models with their hands. We will be able to create graphic organizers for each math unit and keep track of data as we move between learning stations. Hopefully, my students will be able to focus more on the math meaning than on how to "make do" with the outdated materials we have right now.
Donations from you will help me to help my students experience math activities and gain some deeper understanding than a textbook can give.
With your support, my students will have the chance to make amazing growth in 4th grade!
