My students need the art supplies, inflatable chairs, and a carpet to enhance their learning environment and to express themselves nonverbally while being comfy.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
~We Are the Future~
I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where 100 percent of our students receives free breakfast and lunch.
They also come from a variety of different economic backgrounds where some may receive backpack food on the weekend. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. I am so proud of all my students’ hard work, strive, and dedication they possess; they are striving to have a successful future.
My Project
I have students in my classroom that love drawing, painting, and interacting with their peers during carpet time. My little ones' attention span is very limited; therefore, I try to engage them in any hands-on activities I know will grasp their attention.
Teaching Exceptional Children is a profession that has “LOVE” embedded in your heart!
By having our own seating area and art supplies, like the paint, brushes, and easel, I believe their imagination will reach the moon only to return creating masterpieces. I would love to provide them with a comfy and inviting learning environment with these inflatable chairs and carpet and art supplies to keep their minds full of creative ideas.
