This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a Title I school. Many are from transient backgrounds with very little stability in their lives. They find that stability here at our school.

We have a tight-knit staff that has been working together for many years, striving to enrich our students' lives.

Our students depend on us to make them feel safe, loved, and respected. I try to provide them with artistic experiences that they have never experienced before. Our goal is to guide them to success through creative and motivating lessons.

My Project

My students don't often get the chance to experiment with better than average art supplies. I want them to see that they can create magic on their paper using high quality paint. The difference will be obvious and this will help to fuel their imaginations.

I chose paint pallets with an expanded array of color choices to help them explore this medium and enjoy the variety of color options.

Painting with better quality paints will also mean that the paints will last longer. Holding a pallet in their hands, instead of a traditional plastic box, will reinforce their confidence as a budding artist.
