This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students at our high school in Riverside, California attend the largest high school in the district. We have a high number of English Language learners and students from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

Our school has so many opportunities for students to grow and succeed.

It really is the Greatest high School in the World! We have IB/AP Classes, Agriculture Program, Green Construction Academy, and ASB to help students get connected and stay connected.

Our school is an amazing community of learners. From the outside our school seems pretty average, but when you get to know us you would be surprised how amazing it really is. There are kids here doing things that will positively impact the rest of their lives and the world will be impacted positively in the future by our students!

My Project

I am requesting a printer and toner. Students have been working online for almost two years, they have gotten quite used to it but some students prefer to complete a writing assignment by hand, highlight a document to study on the go, or read assignments instead of scrolling through them. I know that currently we are trying to do as much online as possible but I would love to give them a choice!

I teach students with special needs and choice is one of the biggest ways we can support students in this pandemic.

They need to be able to choose when they do assignments online and when they want hard copies.
