Help me give my students as we strengthen our learning in the areas of STEM and math. The Magna-Tiles and ramps and pathways are just of couple of items that would enhance the students learning.
I have a diverse group of students in my kindergarten class. I have learners of all abilities and levels. They also come from many different socioeconomic backgrounds. This class has a majority of boys. With 12 boys and only three girls, you can imagine the difference in energy levels.
This group of students has a high energy level for learning and curiosity.
With being at a kindergarten level, I feel that they have such a high level of potential for building a foundation of success with their knowledge base. There are multiple skills to teach at this early age, and I am determined to meet the needs of each of my students.
I truly enjoy the excitement students have when they grow and learn. I love to use their prior knowledge when introducing new and fun skills and activities. This can be life skills and academic skills. It is my job to strengthen every student's ability to learn academically and socially.
My Project
Kindergarten is a great age to introduce STEM and strengthen our math skills. Having these manipulatives and activities would add fun and strategic learning for the students. Students love learning with hands on activities and these make their learning memorable.
The ramps and pathways set, along with the Magna-Tiles will be great to use in small groups.
The students will work together to build and create the ramps and structures with these sets. These materials will also be great teamwork activities for my students.
