Ms. Jules-Dunn from Jackson MS is requesting art supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students crayons, modeling play dough, calendars, blank books, and craft sticks. My students need the aforementioned items to assist them in learning in interactive learning centers.

My kindergarten students are eager beavers. I greet my students each morning as they put away their homework folders, backpacks, and then our amazing journey begins. Students must have structure and routine; in order for this to occur, the teacher's classroom must be organized and structurally sound, safe, and conducive for learning. My students are young and intelligent and I do my part to make sure that they are motivated so that they are ready to learn every day.
Every day, my students enter my classroom with one thing on their minds: what new, interesting thing(s) are we going to learn about today.
They are like you and me when we were growing up, they are special and unique, each and every one.
My students are the future teachers, doctors, policemen, firemen, nurses, judges, singers, dancers, and presidents of the United States. My school is the birthplace of knowledge, structure, nourishment, and excellence needed for our students to be successful scholars of tomorrow. My school houses a great principal, superb teachers, a terrific team of support staff personnel, and exemplary scholarly elementary students that have a thirst for knowledge that can only be satisfied with great learning and opportunities.
The students will utilize the items in this project proposal to make learning fun during interactive learning centers. Learning in centers can be for early childhood students can be a long dwelling experience after a while. The average attention span for Kindergarten students is 10-15 minutes. However, Kindergarten students should participate in learning centers for at least 120 minutes per day. Since their attention spans are only 10-15 minutes, this is where we have a problem that needs resolving.
The use of the hands-on items I have earmarked for this project will help make learning fun and engaging for my students.
The students will be able to use the playdough for numerous activities in the subjects of reading, math, and science, such as forming letters and numbers. My students can use the calendars during our math centers and the blank books and crayons during our literacy centers as a tool to express themselves through written communication and art. Some of the items requested through my project proposal are consumables but will make a mighty impact, and the rest of the items will be used for years to come.
