Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! They enjoy coming to school to experience all these new experiences with their classmates. I am so glad I am the person to give them these experiences.

My Project

More than just a cozy place to rest and relax, this comfy, inviting carpet will help my students build alphabet and number skills—as they sit, play and explore! Perfect for a variety of skill-building learning games and activities, the carpets feature jumbo numbers from 1 through 20 where we can play games to help my student will begin to recognize numbers all color-coded by sets of five. Plus 26 friendly bees that show alphabet around the carpet’s perimeter. This will help with play some alphabet games, to help my student recognize letters, and letter sounds. The colors will also be inviting for them!
