My Students
Hello! We are in full swing of our first-grade year and I'm still working to make sure my classroom is always prepared for my new group of little learners! They are just so excited to come to school each day and learn and have the opportunity to do so at the best school in town!
The majority of the students in our school come from low-income households and do not get many of the experiences many others are afforded.
Each and every year, I try to find ways to make learning engaging and fun so that they can have the best possible school year. My students have always been so eager about their learning and seem to have a genuine excitement about being at school each day. I am always looking for new ways to help this continue so their love of learning will continue to grow!
My Project
One major goal that I have as a teacher is to generate my students' thinking on a higher level. One great way to do that is through games and allowing them to be creative!
Our classroom does not yet have very many games that draw on different ability levels for students and I am wanting to introduce that so they can take their skill level higher without even knowing it!
By using board games and art supplies, students can continue to build knowledge in a variety of ways and express themselves through their creativity. Any chance we have had to borrow supplies to use for these things has always brought so much excitement to our classroom so I would love to have my own permanent items that we can use at any time!
