Help me give my students in their lessons in Grade 7 & and 8 Mathematics like posters, charts, geometric shapes and figures, manipulative materials, flashcards, materials in algebra lessons, geometry, statistics and probability to make learning more fun.
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I ask them, "Who is number one?" and they reply, "We are!" I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
Many of my students struggle with reading, math, communication, and emotional challenges.
Many of them are being raised by single parents/grandparents and receive free lunch each day. Research has shown that targeting and exposing them to technology, oral, and written presentation will increase student achievement but above all, their self-confidence.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! Charts will be used in order for my students to post their activities.Manipulative materials are for their activities, The carts and other bins are for the materials that am I going to put there. Behavioral chart is for me to post in one corner. laminating machine and laminating pouch is for the printed materials that im going to preserve. Other flashcards are for my instructional materials
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful writing.
especially in Math subject.
By implementing Math Centers, my students will begin to see themselves as true authors and illustrators. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long writers. As the teacher, I have done extensive research and reading on Writer's Workshop in the primary grades. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
