Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently teach Pre-Kindergarten- three, four, and five year-old boys and girls. This will be my second year teaching, and I am very much looking forward to it!
This next school year I would like to incorporate an art center, which students can visit daily. But, I am in need of "fun" art supplies, besides the basics that the school gives us in the fall. I would like the students to be able to play with play dough, use stamps, use their fingers to finger-paint, and use their imagination to create and make.
My classroom is in need of cookie cutters for play dough, alphabet stamps and stamp pads, finger paint and finger paint paper, washable tempera paint, sand to make sand castles at the sand table, glue sticks, scissors. Students will be able to use their hands and increase their fine-motor skills all while having fun, and making something they will be able to take home and be proud of.
With your help, we will be able to use art throughout the school year in a fun way to learn with our hands, and build our imaginations.
