My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students need to know they are important and will be taken care of. They crave positive attention in a safe, caring and structured environment. My students love activities that are fully engaging. They also love singing and dancing during brain breaks!
My Project
My students need some new math games that I can incorporate into my math center activities. These games will make center time more fun and exciting. The kids won't even realize they are learning! We have 6 classroom computers and keeping headphones working and intact is a constant struggle, so having new headphones would be extremely helpful.
My classroom will be enhanced by adding these new, fun and engaging resources! I love the excitement of adding new materials to the classroom. The students love learning about how to use and take care of the new materials.
We are also in need of rewards and incentives. My students work very hard and when they do, I choose to reward them with treasure box toys rather than candy.
