Bright, independent, open minded, are a few words to describe my students. My students attend a candidacy school for the International Baccalaureate Organization. This requires a more rigorous curriculum for students. However, they are eager to learn and meet their goals no matter the circumstances. Their passion and drive never ceases to amaze me. My fourth graders are all 100% free and reduced-price lunch students in a high poverty area. The school and community are one and the same. Students and parents are a part of our family.
My Project
This project includes many items that will help fulfill our classroom and make us whole. My students have many different needs and I am doing everything I can to make sure I reach each and every one of them.
I want my students to love coming to school and learn.
These materials will help with that quest. I know the Reading Informational Text and Math Star Word Problem game boards will have a great impact on my students' learning by making learning meaningful, engaging and above all fun.
The sensory balls and timer will help students cool down when needed. The "Cool Down" station will help my students reflect, relax and above all recharge so they are ready to get back to learning.
