Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school in a rural setting. My school today faces the complexity of difficult challenges to overcome. Our classrooms are filled with children of diverse needs, from those ranging from strong and healthy, to those who have emotional, physical, and learning difficulties. My students have so much to share and thrive when learning. Watching children become successful and learn how to read is such a rewarding experience. Many of my student's families struggle financially and do not have the resources at home. I want to have the best instruction and all material available for my students to become successful adults and lifelong learners.

My Project

The cabinet will be used to store math, literacy materials, and intervention activities as well as hands-on manipulatives for student use. In addition, it will also hold school supplies that students can grab as needed to pass out to their peers and put away on their own. It’s so important we organize classroom cabinets so we can easily find things. The most important thing when it comes to organizing classroom cabinets is to give everything a home. If everything has a home then there is no need for papers to pile up on my desk, materials to be laying around the classroom, or clutter to ensue.
