My students need these manipulatives to aid them with the understanding of simple mathematics. The chair is for a student in great need of differential seating. We received no materials and need much laminated.
I teach eight beautiful students that are mostly non-verbal Autistic children. They vary in ranges on the autistic spectrum. They learn mostly with hands-on materials. They are bright children that show up every morning with a smile on their face and excited to learn. They enjoy music, games, and interacting with others. They are hard workers and show levels of excitement when they fully understand a concept unlike any other students that I have ever taught. These kiddos are truly, why I do what I do!!
My Project
Upon entering my classroom, I have had to start from scratch. These materials will greatly improve my students ability to learn! I need to laminate many hands-on manipulatives for individual and small group use with my kiddos. One of my students has a hard time sitting upright in a regular school chair and is greatly in need of differential seating in order to aid in his learning and comfort. My students are very low on the Autistic spectrum and need hands-on manipulatives in order to achieve their learning goals. Each of these items are greatly needed.
