Making History Come Alive!

My Students

My students make my day, every day...it is why I teach! I love the energy, positive attitude, and knowledge that they bring to my classroom. Many of them are natural lovers of history and teach me new and interesting parts of history on a daily basis. They are wide-eyed and eager to learn the past to better understand the present.

My Project

Pictures tell a thousand words...imagine what a virtual immersion into a historical event could tell! In our World History class, we travel around the world using our textbooks and videos, but the trip would be so much more memorable and fulfilling if we could make it virtually. Not all of my students have the ability to travel in a real sense, but we could get very close using this amazing technology.

Imagine stepping into ancient Greece as the seeds of democracy are being sown!

Imagine looking up at the Sistine Chapel during the Renaissance! Imagine taking a factory tour during the Industrial Revolution! Producing critical thinkers who are able to connect the past in order to understand the present is vital for future generations...this technology could help me do it. Help me bring History Alive!
