I am so lucky to have this great group of students this year. They are kind and respectful (when was the last time you have NEVER received a negative note from a sub?) to everyone, and very hard-working.
Science has been a great love for them this year.
I have loved hearing about how interesting it is and how it's their favorite subject. I have loved being able to see them grow as students when making the big transition from fourth to fifth grade.
My Project
I will use both of these products when teaching about electricity and magnetism. Snap Circuits provide a great, concrete, exciting, and fun way for students to explore the information they learn about building circuits and electromagnets. They will be able to be creative and make circuits using them, which demonstrate parallel and series circuit, how they work, and what makes them different from each other. It is a great visual tool for them.
These circuits will engage them and provide incentive when used as a fun game, a teaching tool when used for demonstration, and a review tool when preparing for state and school testing.
