My Students

My high school art students are typical teenagers, from lower to middle class homes in our small rural community with little exposure to the arts. They are bright, creative students who take on learning challenges well.

Some come with much artistic ability, some are striving to improve, while some are just starting their "art journey"!

Most of these students have very little opportunity or exposure to the world of art. Presenting these students with additional art-related information will make their experience greater and more interesting.

My Project

Two items, a large bulletin board and a projector screen, would greatly enhance learning for my students, three lively junior high classes, a high school Drawing and Painting class, and a Graphic Design class.

Our art classroom is in need of equipment which will enhance student learning.

Having a bulletin board which features a famous artist will familiarize students with artists' backgrounds, cultures, and styles, increasing their art knowledge. We often use our projector for displaying examples, famous artworks, and technique demonstrations, but are in need of a new projector screen. We are always looking for additional ways to increase learning in the art room!
