The wrestlers on our team are using outdated equipment. They are a hard-working group and could use an upgrade to our facilities. Because wrestling is an extracurricular sport, most of our team funds come from donations and fundraising.
Our team includes high-school boys and girls who go the extra mile in training and community service.
Not only do they work together to develop their own skills, but they also educate the local youth in an afterschool youth program. They are a polite, hard-working, well-adjusted group of young students. Any donations to this awesome group of kids would be amazing.
My Project
Wrestling is an amazing sport. It encompasses so many aspects of life. Students must work hard and be diligent to succeed. Wrestlers need to have a strong core in order to keep from being injured, as wrestling is a very physical sport. We received some lighter weight medicine balls for our newer and lighter weight wrestlers. We had so much success with these we are now asking for heavier medicine balls for the stronger, more experienced kids to use. These medicine balls will be used to help our team improve their core strength. We can use the medicine balls to stay physically fit and work independently or with a partner in maintaining our strength. Using these new pieces of equipment can make strengthening our core so much easier and gives us something new to try.
