My students are 5 and 6-years-old and love to be on the move all day long. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but they are all full of energy and ready to learn. Our school motto is to show pride in everything we do, and my kids always try their best.
I teach at a STEM school, and my students are ready to explore and learn new things through inquiry and movement each day.
Some of my students are in school for the first time, and they are all so full of energy. As their teacher, I love to take that energy and direct it into meaningful learning activities instead of making them sit still all day.
My Project
My students and I are building a makerspace in our STEM classroom so we are requesting a variety of objects to build and create with. Students make a lot of personal and academic growth when participating in exploration and discovery activities. What a better way to do that than through a makerspace right in our classroom?
My students will be able to use this space to design and create anything that they can dream up!
Students will be able to practice making their name, words, and letters with various materials including the buttons, shells, and gems. Students will be able to build and practice their engineering skills with the wood squares, wood circles, and rocks. We will be able to use these materials in relation to our curriculum, but also students will be able to create projects based off their own interests.
