Making a Positively Moving Classroom

My Students

I love that my 4th graders enter my classroom with joy, a readiness to learn, a passion for discovery, and a willingness to try their very best. What I feel most inadequately prepared for is when they face hyperactivity, anxiety, nervousness, frustration, and boredom. I am hoping to meet them where they are, so that we can combat the obstacle that is getting in the way of their success.

These Wobble Stools and Bouncy Bands will offer my students an outlet for positively exerting all of that energy.

I want them to be able to move and refocus without being a distraction to their classmates.

My Project

Wobble Chairs will be used at my group table and Bouncy Bands on every desk within my classroom. They will allow students to deal with their frustrations, anxieties, hyperactivity, and boredom in a less distracting way. It isn't always easy for them to get up and get moving, but with these resources, they can remain seating and moving.

Your donations will positively impact students who often struggle to exert their energy and emotions in a positive way.

These resources will be used as mechanisms to keep students away from negative behaviors that too often distract others in the classroom. I hope to give each of my students the best and least restrictive environment to flourish in 4th grade.
