My first grade students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, with a majority of students living in poverty. Many of my students have faced difficulty and challenges in such a young age. Despite the many challenges they face, they always come to school eager to learn and strive for excellence.
With the lack of technology at home for many of my students, I believe they deserve to have access to as much technology as possible in the classroom.
My duty as an educator is to provide my students with the best education possible and I believe these materials will enhance their learning in so many ways.
My Project
My students would benefit from having Lenovo Chromebooks to access in the classroom in a variety of ways. With technology on the rise, exposure and familiarity with such technology is a key to student success. Students will use Chromebooks to work in small groups.
The Chromebooks will also assist in differentiation among students, as many resources are based on the students personal learning level.
Lastly, the Chromebooks would benefit during math. Currently, my students are learning math fluency on paper, with Chromebooks they can log into Reflex Math and become addition and subtraction masters! The experiences the Chromebooks will give to my students are going to be so valuable!
