Students at our school are energetic, excited, fun risk-takers that love to learn. We have begun our journey together for the year and the students have created many projects. The students in my class are helpful, caring, and respectful individuals who enjoy learning.
Our school has over 500 students and meets the needs of all learners.
The staff is dedicated to making our school the best possible place for our kids. The kids and families understand the value of their education and they love coming to school to learn.
My Project
Students are always developing new skills and Makey Makey sets can engage learning through problem solving. These Makey Makey sets will also encourage a sense of community within our classroom, because students will have to design and create something using the Makey Makey sets that will program something else.
With the Makey Makeys my students will be able to understand coding with more in depth information and realize that coding is a cause and effect correlation.
Students will do simple coding at first to understand how the Makey Makey works and then they will have options to explore them with regards to developing their own instruments, using them for their biography projects, and incorporating them into math using games that involve cause and effect coding.
The Makey Makeys will also be used for my students that are having a difficult time understanding scratch coding and will be used as a reteaching tool to understand this coding material.
Having Makey Makey sets will develop a sense of purpose with students and will enhance their creativity. If students don't have the opportunity to create they won't. Therefore, I am attempting to get four Makey-Makey sets to encourage creativity and problem solving. Please help by donating to our project to develop creativity in our classroom.
