Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students I work with are energetic and continue to delight me every day with their efforts. Our school serves a diverse population of students that includes a high percentage of ELL students. We are also a Title 1 charter public school.
These students excel in hands-on, engaging activities, and deserve more resources available to them.
A high percentage of our school receives free and reduced-priced lunch. Many of my students have younger and older siblings at our school, as we are kinder through 8th-grade charter school.
My Project
Having basic supplies, like Dry Erase Markers with Eraser, 60 Pack Shuttle Art 15 Colors White Board Markers and Eraser, Low-Odor, Chisel Tip and AmazonBasics Pre-sharpened Wood Cased #2 HB Pencils, 150 Pack, for my students will help them to focus on what is important. They also need new and exciting ways to practice the skills that we are learning through Carson-Dellosa CD-140312 Language Arts File Folder Games and Carson Dellosa Math File Folder Games. The Elecder i36 Kids Headphones are needed as we now have access to computers, but we only have 5 headphones, this will enable more students to work on the computers at once. The Makey Makey will be great for enhancing their hands on learning experience.
By donating to our project, you will not only help students learn through games and technology, but you will take away the worry about having basic supplies, like markers and pencils, and allow them to focus on the fun.
Having these supplies, along with headphones for them to use, will allow me to show them fun ways to learn and will allow me to offer options that I am not able to provide right now. Your donation will allow them to be able to interact with an updated technology, that will increase their math, and their literacy skills, as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
