Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In our library, it's not just about books. Our library is a place to explore, celebrate, and create. I envision students using the button maker for causes they care about or to celebrate and recognize all types of people and students. For example, February is Black History Month. Using the button maker, students could create buttons celebrating Black heroes.
Students can also come to the library to create and tinker.
Using the bracelet maker and beads, students can create items like backpack chains and bracelets that express and celebrate who they are. And using the water colors and water color coloring book, students can practice mindfulness and take a brain break in the library.
