My students are risk-takers. They are problem solvers. They are communicators. They are jumping feet first into a new language - the language of coding. Learning to code is all about failing and then learning from your failures to get to ultimately reach success. Coding and Computer Science are highly sought after skills in the workforce but are also great ways to teach students how to really learn.
Our coding class explores many different aspects of coding and computer science, helping our students prepare for the future.
My Project
In our classroom, we utilize our maker space as an opportunity for students to explore, examine, create, code, make, and grow.
Maker spaces give students the freedom to play and stretch their creative muscles.
The more resources we have in our maker space, the more students allowed to explore daily.
The tablets we need help run robots we currently have as well as work with the bloxel kit also in this project. Bloxels are another way for the students to create. They code and create their own video games.
Again, these tools will help give more students access to our maker space and more time to create, code, and make.
